Peer Review Process

After submission, all manuscripts will go through an initial evaluation by the Editorial Board. If a manuscript meets the requirements stated in the Author Guidelines, it will be peer reviewed by two independent experts in the field. Otherwise, it may be desk rejected or returned to authors for further modifications.

Each manuscript undergoes two independent reviews before a final Accept/Reject decision and the authors will be notified of the review outcome.

  • If both reviewers recommend Reject, the manuscript will be rejected.
  • If both reviewers recommend Accept without revisions, the manuscript may be accepted.
  • If both reviewers recommend Revisions, their review reports will be sent to the author for revisions.
  • If one of the reviewers’ outcome is Reject, the manuscript will be evaluated by a third reviewer before a final decision is reached.

Upon receiving reviewer comments, the authors must revise and resubmit their manuscript within the specified timeframe. The revised manuscript will be reassessed by the reviewers, who will provide further recommendations to the Editorial Board. Authors will be notified of the outcome when a final decision is available.

The peer review process is double- anonymized throughout. That is, the reviewers’ identities are not disclosed to authors, and vice versa.  In addition, reviewers must not communicate the content of the reviewed manuscript to any others without the permission of the Editorial Board.
