The Journal of Inquiry into Languages and Cultures, a scientific journal of the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University, was granted the press operating license No. 580/GP-BTTTT by the Ministry of Information and Communications on December 21, 2016.

The Journal of Inquiry into Languages and Cultures is the continuation and development of the pre-existing University's Scientific Announcement publication, which was issued three times a year from 2004 to 2016. Currently, the journal is tri-annually published in both Vietnamese and English and was assigned the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) of 2525-2674 by the National Science and Technology Information Agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology on May 26, 2017. 

On May 30, 2020, the Journal was awarded a research score of 0.5 point (for each published article) via the Decision 18/QĐ-HĐGSNN on the Approval of the 2020 List of Scientific Journals Eligible for Scoring issued by The State Council for Professor of Vietnam.

On July 26, 2023, the Journal was granted the press operating license No. 252/GP-BTTTT by The Ministry of Information and Communications to operate in both print and electronic editions.

On April 3, 2025, the E-Journal of Inquiry into Languages and Cultures was officially assigned the electronic International Standard Serial Number (e-ISSN) of 3093-351X by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The Journal of Inquiry into Languages and Cultures publishes high-quality and original research results in the fields of language and culture and related areas, providing updated scientific insights. It serves as a platform for sharing research experiences among educators and researchers both in Vietnam and internationally.
