Abstract

Nowadays, e-learning has become a popular teaching and learning method that meets the demands of learners and teachers and helps them make more and more effective use of information and communication technology, especially in foreign language learning and teaching. However, is the implementation of teaching and learning in this way really effective, especially for learning speaking skills? What advantages or disadvantages do learners faces and do they really take advantage of e-learning? Studying learners’ feedback on this method of foreign language teaching and learning is absolutely necessary. In our study, we have investigated the above questions with second year French students, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. In this report, we present the research findings as well as discussing issues to improve the effectiveness of e-learning in foreign language teaching, in general and in teaching French speaking skills, in particular.
