STUDY OF “V1-EO V2” CONSTRUCTION IN KOREAN

Abstract

Like Vietnamese and English, Korean also has new verbs formed by combining a verb with another verb. However, there are many differences between this construction in the Korean and the two languages ​​above, for example, the connective ending, the meaning”s difference and the word spacing. In this study, the researcher will focus on introducing and analyzing the 4 most common and well-known “V₁-eo V₂” sentence structions in Korean. Thereby, the researcher hopes that it can partly help Vietnamese students to learn Korean with a clearer view about “V₁-eo V₂” constructions.
