Based on a theoretical framework incorporating syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic dimensions, this article explores Vietnamese objects, discussing their nature, components, and classification while distinguishing them from complements. This distinction aids learners in recognizing objects, which are often confused with complements. The article utilizes qualitative and quantitative analyses to improve reliability. Findings reveal that Vietnamese objects encompass nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, verb-object phrases, subject-predicate phrases, appositive phrases, and locative phrases. They are categorized into three types: nominal objects, verbal objects, and adjectival objects.
