In order to begin the approach of a contrastive linguistic assignment or topic, what students need to do at the first step is to search, collect and process bilingual corpus. The study shows the results of survey on searching and processing bilingual corpus in process of learning Japanese – Vietnamese contrastive linguistics of third – year students of Department of Japanese Language and Culture, Hue University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University. From the results, the study proposes some solutions to help students to search and effectively analyse corpus corresponding to each criterion and each language level.
